The local government decided to rope off access to one of the better photography destinations in the area for some reason. I decided it wasn't worth risking dealing with police, so just took some photos from the overlook. It was very disappointing after driving several hours to get there.
Not everyone worried about the signage and ropes... I don't know who it was standing down there when I took the shot, but it made the difference for me for keeping this one. I'm not a big fan of the type of shot you can get from the official viewing stations. There's no good way to get a different angle or be very creative. I'd hoped to do some "low to the water" shots with my smaller tripod but left empty handed.
