This is probably one of the more common shots I’ve seen online by photographers living anywhere near Toledo. It’s the remains of the Erie Canal Locks at Sidecut Metropark in Maumee, Ohio. The water level is pretty different from one day to the next, and so far most of the times I’ve made it there it was a pretty meager flow. On one trip I was able to get a couple of shots I like though, like the photo shown here.
My favorite thing about it is the contrast between the texture of the stone and the smoothed out flow of the water from the longer exposure time.
