Dancing Hares

One of my favorite stops on a photography trip to the Dublin, Ohio area with a group of fellow photography enthusiasts was Ballantrae Community Park. The sculpture, called Dancing Hares, was created by Sophie Ryder. What you can’t see from the distance, is that there are somewhat random household objects embedded in the material. (You can see some close up shots here.)

When I originally found out about the location online in planning the trip, I had hoped to get a good shot from underneath, in the center of the three. I found that my lens did not give me the flexibility to make the shot I had in mind work. However, I was happy with this angle, even though you can’t see as much of the detail. If you ever pass through Dublin, Ohio, you should check this spot out. And then make a quick stop nearby at the small field of giant concrete corn on the cobs. 🙂
