One of my favorite things is ending up with a photo that captures more the feel of a place than the normal actual look of it. Most times I’ve been to this stretch of river shoreline, it’s very bland or dirty looking, or overcrowded. But things came together one evening and I was happy to get this. I took about twenty different shots from roughly this location, slightly different angles and settings, etc. – which is one of the better pieces of advice I could give… always give yourself variations for later editing. It’s often difficult to know in the moment what’s going to end up working best.
