Exploring Lake Superior

Putting my zoom lens to the test, this was taken from the top of Marquette’s Sugarloaf Mountain, looking down over Lake Superior. I took several shots of this, trying to get the right framing, finally settling on this one because the land was divided into three sections with the water also having three sections, and then of course the three subjects on their paddle boards. (Spoiler: there were only two people… I got a little creative in Photoshop because I felt like there really needed to be three for the image to work best. That’s a bit more license than I usually take with editing, but I think it works. lol)

If you’re visiting the Marquette area, do yourself a favor and make the hike to the top of Sugarloaf on a nice day. The view is amazing!
