As someone with some pretty strong introvert tendencies, taking photos with people in them has always been intimidating to me. As a result, I’ve ended up doing more of the ninja approach, where identity isn’t really able to be known from the image, and I’m often not near enough to be seen taking the photo. I’ve gotten a bit better about the whole thing though – one of the ways I did that was by printing up a bunch of business cards with this site’s address and my email address, so that if I see someone or group of someones where a shot would be interesting, I introduce myself quickly and ask permission, offering to send them any resulting photos for free.
