This was taken on a recent trip to the U.P. while enjoying the sunset from Black Rocks at Marquette’s Presque Isle. The few evenings I tried to do some sunset photos that trip the weather didn’t really cooperate to provide the right kinds of clouds (almost none) so I ended up doing a lot more of the silhouette of people kind of thing. And, full disclosure, most of the sky in this image was edited in. My son thinks that’s cheating, but I make it a rule to never edit a sky into place that wouldn’t be something you might normally see there. (The older I get the harder getting the right timing seems to be.)
