I’ve taken a lot of photos of sandhill cranes… they are fascinating birds. And I love how both these and their cousins the blue herons sound like dinosaurs. I wanted to get a bit more up and personal this time, since I have a lot of the same kinds of shots, but one of these wasn’t having it. It kept chasing me away once it realized I didn’t have food to give it. One problem with kneeling down and looking into your camera is that you’re not paying attention to approaching aggravated wildlife.
