Forsaken

My dad is buried at Northland Chapel Gardens in Neguanee, Michigan (my brother used to sell cemetery plots there years and years ago.) Given that my dad enjoyed photography for most of his life it only seems fitting that sometimes when I visit, that I bring my camera and take some shots. 🙂

Not too far from where my dad is, there’s a statue of Jesus that is overdue for a cleaning (lichen growing all over him)… I’m not really a huge fan of black and white photography, but I thought that this lent itself to it. (With the color, the trees take a bit too much of the attention.) I will probably bring my tripod next time, as I would like to increase the shutter speed and reduce the ISO for a sharper shot, and would like to play with the angle a bit as well. (In this case, having the camera lower and looking up along with him.)
