Lake Michigan Winter Sunset

This is another photo pulled out of my older folders… I’d originally been going for more snow in the foreground, but ended up cropping it so the trees would be the foreground. Lake Superior is always more impressive to me as a lake than Lake Michigan, but Lake Michigan tends to ice over near the road sooner and more often than Superior. I’m not sure why the frozen lake surface fascinates me like it does… it makes me think of the opposite of a dessert… a vast extreme wasteland.
