Muddy Locks

You might notice several shots similar to this throughout the site… there aren’t a lot of waterfalls within easy driving distance of Toledo. The old locks at the Side Cut Park in Maumee are probably the most interesting. I like the combination of stone walls, trees and vines, and the water. The trick is going when the water level is high enough to actually create some falls. Often when I’ve gone, it’s been a trickle.
