I’m not entirely sure if he thought I couldn’t see him… maybe he forgot he’d grown that rack on his head that kind of stuck out from all the green. I really liked this shot because when I see it I feel like both the deer and the viewer are both hiding and spying on each other. I was grateful to have my telephoto lens though, because the deer in the parks in Toledo are a bit more gangster than what I’m used to the in the U.P. Up in Marquette most of the deer you see in the park have been hand fed for so long they are happy to see you. These guys here will make it plain they don’t want you near them.
