Rock Bubble

On my latest trip back north to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, my son was patient enough to spend a good chunk of outdoors time while dad lugged his camera gear along. This photo was one of my favorite taken on this trip. I’ve been playing with ways to use the glass ball that would be a little different, and I really liked the clear view through the center with the blurry waves around it. I tried a lot of different variations of this, and only once almost lost the ball to the waves. (Which my son warned me was going to happen several times, seemingly eager for a chance to tease his old man.)
