Sentry

So, it turns out it’s hard to get wildlife to sit still for a two second long exposure shot. That’s where Photoshop comes in. The bird in the foreground was taken from another one of my photos. (The birds in the background are a bit blurry, but because they’re so far away it’s harder to notice.) At first I was bummed out that there weren’t more clouds and color in the sky, but the more I thought about it, that would likely have distracted from the foreground too much. 

This was taken at Marquette’s Presque Isle (on the edge of the Black Rocks area)… I really enjoy playing around with long exposure with waves.
