Slow Spring

Not entirely sure why, but this is one of my favorite trees at the Kensington Metropark in Michigan. (It’s on the South end of the path around the main lake where the nesting island is.) I recently took a trip there to get my season pass. I think what I like about this image is how the leaves are so tiny compared to the overall bulk of the tree.

The lighting was tricky (there wasn’t much of it, but there was too much wind to use a longer exposure) so the ISO is a lot higher than I’d have liked. And photoshop can only do so much for cleaning out noise.
