Smooth Shores

There were several different framings of similar shots that I got on an evening after I’d checked into my motel. (Lake Superior was right on the other side of the road, so I of course had to take advantage of the lower evening light for some long exposure images.) I’d been playing with the settings, using the ISO at 100 as my main marker for where to set my exposure. With waterfall shots, I’ve learned that it’s easy to go too long, but with shoreline images like this, I feel like the longer the better, to get the smokey smoothness.
