Superior Winter Morning

Expanding your photography often comes down to light. Light is what photography is all about. One of my favorite ways of doing this is shooting very early in the morning, before the sun is up, or in bad weather where there’s no sunshine. In this case, I’d gone out to the blackrocks area on Presque Isle in Marquette to try to catch a sunrise. Missed the sun, due to clouds, but had fun with some long exposures. This particular photo is a 4 second exposure (it was pretty dark out still.) But I feel like it captures the mood and feeling of a Marquette winter in a lot of ways.
