On a recent trip to the U.P. I’d had dinner in Ishpeming with my two older sons, and didn’t have time to get back to Marquette to catch the sunset at Presque Isle. So I stopped at Teal Lake to see if I could find any shots there. The lakeshore on the Neguanee side is almost all public swimming beach or grass walkway. Not a lot of trees or anything visually interesting. This photo was taken with the glass ball sitting on a post on one end of a retaining wall, looking toward the sun setting over Ishpeming (my home town). I liked this shot because I thought it ended up looking like a marble.
